Attorney Elise A. Cousineau was admitted to practice law in the State of Connecticut in 2014. She has gained comprehensive experience practicing exclusively as a family law attorney in matters ranging from simple childless divorces to complicated custody matters and intricately-detailed financial matters. Attorney Cousineau also has experience in restraining orders, applications for temporary custody, terminations of parental rights, and domestic violence matters. In 2013, she completed the training requirements to serve as a Guardian Ad Litem in the State of Connecticut.
Attorney Cousineau received her Bachelor’s Degrees in English and Political Science from the University of Vermont in May 2009, where she was a member of the Honors College, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut School of Law in May 2014, where she served as an editor on the Connecticut Law Review. Prior to attending law school, Attorney Cousineau worked at the Southeastern Connecticut Center for Juvenile Matters, a law firm with a multidisciplinary team approach to representing Connecticut’s children. During law school, she participated in a clinical program at the Center for Children’s Advocacy, a law firm dedicated to fighting for Connecticut’s most vulnerable children. She worked as an Associate Attorney at Lisa A. Faccadio, PC for the first six years of her career. Attorney Cousineau is presently serving on the Board of Directors for the Middlesex County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Family Law Section. |
